Welcome to the Grissom Class of 1975 Website

Welcome to the official website of the Virgil Grissom High School Class of 1975. In preparation for the 40th class reunion the reunion committee wanted to provide a place where classmates could come to get details about the reunion as well as renew old friendships and create new ones with former classmates. This website is just that, and provides a safe an secure environment in which to do so.

It's hard to believe that it's been almost 40 years since we last walked the hallowed halls of our beloved alma mater. The reunion committee is working hard to make this one of the best reunions yet. Our class reunion will be held at The Ledges on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 6:30. For complete details click here. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. We are also planning a tour of the School that day.

Those who attended the 30th class reunion know The Ledges is a great location, and the food is excellent. Of course, it's not the location or the food that make a reunion great, but rather, it's the people who attend. We've worked hard over the past several months to obtain updated contact information on our former classmates, but it's a daunting task. Please help us locate missing classmates, get the word out about the reunion, and encourage everyone to attend.

Our tour of the school on Saturday, 2:00 PM, may be your last opportunity to visit Grissom high school while it is still in the original building. Ground has already been broken at the new location South of Weatherly Road and west of the Parkway. Plans are to convert the original school into municipal offices and a new library extension. There have been many changes and additions to the school since we graduated, but a nostalgic walk through the hallways will undoubtedly bring back many fond memories of our passage from childhood to adulthood!

Please take this opportunity to create a login and then update your profile with your current information. The information you enter will only be available to the reunion committee, will be treated confidentially, and will only be used to contact you regarding class reunions or other class related information. The information will not appear on the Internet, or even be available to other classmates. The website is secure, and we will do our best to protect your information. See the First Time Visitios page for more details. If you prefer not to put your information on the website, or if you have questions regarding the website, please send your info/question via the Contact Us page. We only use information you provide to send you mailers and/or contact you by email regarding the reunion. If you have questions regarding the reunion you can email

It was so wonderful seeing everyone this past weekend. Kudos to the organizer’s (who never get enough credit for herding all the cats), tears of love and laughter to those I was able to re-connect with and the spouses I met, apologies to those I saw and did not get a chance to speak with (hopefully next time), humbled feelings and lump in my throat for those included on the “In Memory” section of the website (you all are missed) and special thanks to the parents, grandparents, teachers, preachers, coaches and “special folk” who raised us and helped make us who we are. Blessings to all and see you next time - Coop
